The City of Norwalk is looking for an enthusiastic engineering intern to join our new Department – Transportation, Mobility and Parking (TMP).
Interns will support one or more experienced Traffic Engineers in performance of assignments, spend time shadowing actual operations, and have unique assignments that support larger projects as well as experience the day-to-day workings of Traffic and Parking Engineering.
Interns may perform and/or participate in additional activities/events which help them build a strong network within the transportation, parking and mobility community and with fellow interns.
This internship program will help the candidate obtain invaluable Traffic Engineering skills and provide him/her with knowledge of various Engineering strategies. Ultimately, the intern will gain broad experience in Traffic Engineering and should be prepared to enter any fast paced work environment.
• Pay - $15 - $20/hour
• Will consider flexible schedule - 20 - 35 hours a week
