New England Intelligent Transportation Society Presents

Transportation Systems Management and Operations: Expanding TSMO to all Modes of Transportation

The 2015 New England ITS Annual Interchange

ITS Massachusetts 20th Annual Meeting

Tuesday, May 5 and Wednesday, May 6, 2015

State Transportation Building, 10 Park Plaza, Boston, MA

This year’s Annual Meeting (now Interchange) presented by ITS Massachusetts in partnership with ITS Connecticut, focuses on Transportation Systems Management and Operations  (TSMO) as an integrated concept to optimize the performance of multimodal infrastructure through implementation of systems, services, and projects to preserve capacity and improve the security, safety and reliability of the transportation system.

TSMO treats transportation assets and infrastructure as a network rather than as separate entities.  The goal and mission of TSMO is to invite a renewed and continual emphasis on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) by bringing together distinct functions of a transportation community to optimize the performance of existing infrastructure and future deployments.

Significant progress has been made in developing and deploying key ITS assets in support of TSMO activities. The Annual Interchange will highlight projects and progress made to “mainstream” ITS deployments as a core objective, including innovative highway projects, technology driven transit operations, modal integration and enhancing the user experience.

Sessions will also focus on deliberate management actions to improve capabilities in six specific dimensions; business processes, systems and technology, performance measurement, culture, organization and workforce, and collaboration.  Assessing and enhancing these capabilities is essential to continuous improvement of TSMO and its performance impacts.  The Interchange represents a unique opportunity to increase your knowledge and network with the leading ITS transportation officials in New England.

Registration forms will be mailed shortly and are also available on our website.
